as a public school teacher, four
years as a state representative,
twenty years as a state senator,
and six years as a United State

Douglas B. MacDonald as Secretary
of Transportation for his exemplary
service and commitment to the State
of Washington and its citizens;
our state’s transportation
system will forever bear his mark
of excellence.

was appointed to the Washington State Transportation Commission by Governor Mike Lowry in June 1995, reappointed by Governor Gary Locke in June 2001, and reappointed by Governor Christine Gregoire in June 2005.
