The Washington State Transportation Commission is establishing the Ferry Riders’ Opinion Group (F.R.O.G) to engage with ferry riders on an ongoing basis. Participants of the F.R.O.G. will have the opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns on important ferry topics including fare levels, ferry reservations, time-of-day pricing, etc.
Participants of the F.R.O.G. will have a collective direct line of communication to the Transportation Commission, Washington State Ferries, the Governor and the Legislature, influencing critical decisions that will impact ferry riders throughout the system.
The F.R.O.G. will consist of a representative cross section of ferry riders and up to 15,000 riders can join the group. The F.R.O.G. website will go live on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 and people can join the group in one of two ways:
- Throughout January, starting on January 12, Market Decisions Corporation will have survey crews on board the ferries throughout the system and will be signing riders up to join the F.R.O.G.
- People can also join the F.R.O.G. by going directly to the survey web site at: http://www.ferryridersopiniongroup.com/public
Participation in the research is voluntary. Individual survey responses will be kept confidential and will only be used for statistical purposes. The Commission would like to encourage all customers to join the group and play a role in WSF’s future.
